_AllObitsLogo300Jimmie Don was born September 13, 1937 in Childress to Raleigh and Jessie Adams. He married Sue Pitcock Trimble on April 30, 1997 in Clovis, New Mexico. Jimmie Don graduated from Clarendon College and West Texas State University. He was a Coach and Teacher at Estelline for 11 years and later at Panhandle for 23 years. He had been a resident of Miami before moving to Lubbock 8 years ago.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; and a brother, Gary Adams.

SURVIVORS – his wife, Sue Adams of Lubbock; a brother, Steve Adams of Lubbock; 2 sisters, Paula Jacobs and husband Sammy of Amarillo, and Barbara Cosper and husband Sherman of Clarendon; 2 nieces, Whitney Cosper of Amarillo and Renee Mott of Clarendon; and his great nieces and nephew, Will Betts, Brandi Wann, Chancey King, and Phara Berry.

MEMORIAL SERVICES – 2:00 PM Friday, April 15, 2016 in the Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Bruce Cotton, officiating.

INURNMENT – will follow in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.

Carroll Lee Favor

_AllObitsLogo300Carroll Lee Favor, Age 79 passed away April 12, 2016 in Childress, Texas. Carroll was born November 1, 1936 in Whitesboro, Texas. He was raised in the panhandle and lived on many ranches during his adolescence. Most of his years were spent on the Tiddle ranch north of Samnorwood, Texas. He was a 1955 graduate of Samnorwood high school. On December 17, 1955 he married high school sweetheart, Rita Montgomery.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Ethel Favor, first wife and best friend Rita favor and granddaughter Kylie Nolen.

Survivors include his two children, Rusty Favor and wife Debbie, Shelly Preston and husband John both of Childress; grandchildren, Cody Favor and wife Tisha, Dustin Favor and wife Danielle, Jena Preston and Jered Preston; great grandchildren, Hunter Favor, Landon Favor and Keegan Favor; two sisters, Alice Paschal of Amarillo and Barbara Owens and husband Lynn of Owasso, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Central Christian Church in Childress with Craig Darter, officiating.

Joyce Raylene Howell

Joyce-Howell-1460548546Joyce Raylene Howell was born on January 14, 1947 in Pampa to Alice Kalka. She married Jimmie Don Howell on May 26, 1964 in Hedley. She was a beautiful singer, a gifted piano player, a great cook, and incredibly crafty. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In 2014, her life was complete when she found her biological sibilings. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kindred Hospice and numerous friends and family that supported Joyce through her 8 month battle with cancer.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – Her parents, one brother Jack Palmer, and her aunt Louise Stewart.

SURVIVORS – her husband Jimmie Don Howell of Amarillo; 2 daughters Wanda Fowler and husband Kevin of Amarillo, and Jorene Wilson and husband Donnie of Houston; 2 brother Jim Palmer of Boise City, OK, and Joe Bob Palmer of Lubbock; 2 sisters Judy Fitsgerald of Plains, and Jeanne Eaks of Cloudcroft, NM; 6 grandchildren Gary and wife Jolene, Trent, Shawnda, Nick, Logan, and Lukas; and 5 great grandchildren Brayden, Blane, Aubrey, Brody, and Abbey Jo.

Jewel Ismanell Gray

Jewel-Ismanell-Gray-1460626827Mrs. Gray was born January 3, 1925 in Clay County, Texas to George and Ollie Johnson. She married Vance Gray on May 30, 1941 in Hedley. She moved to Donley County at the age of 10. She was a member of the Pathfinders Club and the Red Hatters Club. She survived 13 years of being a dorm mother at Clarendon College in Knorpp Hall. She was awarded the Donley County Pioneer Woman of the Year several years ago. She was a great cook.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – Her parents, her husband in 1996; and a daughter, Jeanne Gray Tittle in 1998.

SURVIVORS – 3 sons, Jerry Gray and wife Gloria of Canyon, Larry Gray and wife Derlene, and Buster Gray and wife Linda all of Clarendon; a daughter, Charlene Brown and husband Butch of Floydada; a sister, Joyce Jackson of Lubbock; a sister in law, Blanch Gray of Parker County, Colorado; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

SERVICES – 2:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2016 in the First Assembly of God Church in Clarendon with Rev. Matthew Stidham, officiating.

INTERMENT- Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.

Jason Brent Klinnert

Jason-Klinnert-1461001601Jason Brent Klinnert, 45 years of age of Clarendon Texas went to be with his Lord on Friday the 15th of April, 2016 of an apparent heart attack. Jason was born in Memphis Texas on February 4th, 1971 to Leveta Ruth (Helms) and Roddy Lee Klinnert of Clarendon Texas.

Jason‘s school years were spent at Clarendon and he also graduated from Clarendon College Nursing program and was a nurse in Amarillo at several medical facilities for many years. He ventured into other occupational fields and ultimately settled in the family plumbing business with his father. He and his father started several business entities over the past six years and when the plumbing business was sold Jason was a principle in Top-O-Texas Equipment & Irrigation, the Pivot Irrigation Company that they started in 2013 where he remained a principle at the time of his death.

Jason was not married at the time of his passing however he has a son, Joshua Klinnert of Amarillo from a previous marriage. Jason enjoyed golf, Nascar, water skiing, gardening and lawn care, cooking, NBA and spending time with family. He was a giver to those less fortunate even when it strapped him to do so and often did without his basic needs to help others. He loved going to Red River N.M. and the South Texas Hill Country.

He is survived by:
1-son, Joshua Klinnert of Amarillo Texas
His parents, Leveta and Roddy Klinnert of Clarendon Texas
1-sister and spouse, Angela and Troy Hathaway of Canyon Texas
1-brother and spouse, Russell Shane and Dore Klinnert of Clarendon and Panhandle Texas
A host of Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, Nephews and Nieces, former classmates from the graduating class of 1989 and many friends in many places.

“Fly Hi Jason Brent”, we always said “the sky is the limit” and you have certainly attained the pinnacle that we all reach for. You wouldn’t come back if you could and rightly so. You are not forgotten and your memories will endure in our lives for all of our lifetime. We will see you there in time meanwhile “Fly Hi Jason Brent, Fly Hi”……………..

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Clarendon with Pastor Eddy Helms (Jason’s Uncle) presiding.

Interment will follow in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon

SURVIVORS – by one love of her life daughter, Jodi Malone and husband Clay; one most precious granddaughter, Madison “Madi” and one sweet grandson, Kolve; one sister, Jessie Lowe Bailey; 3 nephews; she also left behind her life partner, Becky Kuykendall; 2 special cousins, Linda Mayden and Geri Bradley; and many friends.

Donnie Mae Selby

Donnie-Selby-1461241543Donnie was born March 2, 1926 in Lakeview, Texas to John and Minnie Stephens. She married Lewis Clifton Selby on April 6, 1944 in Amarillo. Donnie lived 40 plus years in Donley County. She enjoyed collecting recipes, and salt and pepper shakers from everywhere. She was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – her parents; husband, Lewis in 1985; 4 brothers; 1 sister; a son, Eldon Selby; and a daughter, Joyce Haire.

SURVIVORS – 2 sons, Don Lewis Selby of Las Vegas, NV and Daniel Selby and wife Jennifer of Canadian; 4 daughters, Katherine Jean Blackwell of Dumas, Elaine Yvonne Blackwell and Sherry Lugay Rippetoe both of Clarendon, Shelia Ann Moore and husband Gary of Amarillo; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Bobby Charles Hall

Bobby-Hall-1461335671Bobby was born August 24, 1943 in Shamrock to R.C. and Irene Parsons Hall. He married Ruth O’Neal on February 10, 1977 in Wheeler. He had been a resident of Spearman and Gruver for 15 years and Shamrock for most of his life. He had worked for Enron and was an auctioneer. He loved going to the farm and taking care of animals. He also loved his grandkids more than anything in the world. He was a member of the 11th Street Baptist Church in Shamrock.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dean Keys and wife Karen.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Ruth Hall of Shamrock; 2 daughters, Mykala Bennett and husband David of Shamrock and Tammy Hall of Hays, Kansas; a son, Robert Hall and wife Tamra of Perryton; 2 brothers, Don Hall and wife Bonnie of Quail and Kenneth “Bo” Keys and wife Brenda of Elk City, Oklahoma; 3 sisters, Patti Ann Shields and husband Mack of Allison, Teresa Powledge and husband Leonard of Briscoe, and Cindy Wilhelm and husband Dale of Nazareth; 7 grandchildren; several brothers and sisters in law, nieces, and nephews; and his best friend and dog, Chum Lee.

Nelda Lee Jones

Nelda-Jones-1461320104Nelda Harrison Jones was born in Clarendon on March 25, 1930, to Hawley and Corrine Harrison, and was one of seven children. She married J.D. Jones, Jr. on December 14, 1948. They were married 63 years before J.D.’s death in 2012. Nelda was an extremely loving and caring person, working in her church and various other civic organizations. She was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church in Amarillo. Nelda worked in banking, both in Clarendon and Dalhart, before she retired with J.D. to move to Amarillo in 1997. She was a breast cancer survivor.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – her parents, husband, three sisters, and two brothers.

SURVIVORS – two children: Michael Wayne Jones and wife Jamie of Dalhart, and Karen Jones Cozart of Amarillo; her brother, Hawley Harrison, Jr. and wife Emma Jean of Burley, ID; her grandchildren, Contessa Foster Waddell and husband Scott of Claude, Ramey Cozart of Guymon, OK, Jeremy Jones and wife Kelly of Dalhart, Shawn Jones and his wife JoJo, and Christine Jones of Helper, UT, and Samantha Hopper of Dalhart: and nine great-grandchildren.

Larry Michael Wallis

11Larry Michael Wallis was born January 18, 1956 in Borger to Jay T. and Evelyn Shockley Wallis, and went to be home with Jesus on Friday, April 22, 2016. Larry was a veteran of the US Army. He married Brenda Lovett June 22, 1985 in Amarillo, and had been a resident of McLean the past 22 years. Larry worked as a Sheriff’s Deputy serving Potter County from 1988 to 1994 and Gray County from 1994 to 2004. He enjoyed collecting brass bullets, Nascar, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. Larry was a member of the Trinity Church in McLean.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents.

SURVIVORS – his wife, Brenda Wallis, of McLean; 2 sons, Joshua Parsons of Amarillo, and Jay Wallis of McLean; 2 daughters, Shanna Marshall of Pampa, and Lacee Wallis of McLean; 2 sisters, Jaylene Wallis and Donna Wallis, both of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren; and many adopted kids from McLean.

MEMORIALS – In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family suggests donations to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, VA Hospital, or McLean Care Center.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE – 3:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2016 in the Trinity Church in McLean, with Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating.
