Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday August 6, 2016 at Graceland East with Bernardo Pacheco officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Family will be staying at 126 W. Ocla St. in Borger. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Layla is survived by her husband Kelly Byrd, Grandmother Anna McAnear, her Mother Pam Earles, both of White Deer, Father Ray Campbell and Brother Chris Campbell both of Houston. Eight beautiful Children Cheyene Anderson, Dakota Anderson, Brennan Anderson, Hayden Anderson, Kelsey Kossey Byrd and Daughter in law Blake Hileski, all of Borger, Kolton Kossey and Kaitie Kossey of Colorado, Rhett Byrd of Amarillo, and four grandchildren, great friend Elizabeth Franks, Best Friends/Sisters Kristie Etheridge, Carrie Hahn, and Meagan Bachman-Boisvert.
Layla is preceded in death by her grandson DJ, Grandfather Ed McNear, Great Grandparents Campbell of Houston.

Vera Kathleen Moffitt Thomas

She went to be with her Lord on August 4, 2016 in Robinson, Texas surrounded by her family and friends.

She married Ray Randolph Thomas on November 5, 1949 in Borger Texas.

Her faith in the Lord was an inspiration to her family and everyone she met.
Vera’s heart was always full of love and laughter and her home was always open to anyone in need of guidance, friendship, a meal or a place to stay.
She touched many lives with her giving spirit.

She loved to do crafts, painting ceramics, coloring and working puzzles. She loved the outdoors and bird watching. And she loved her little cat buddy Toby.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Ray Randolph Thomas, Parents, Huell and Florence Moffitt, Sisters, Betty Ray Moffitt, Esther Porter, Imogene Swafford and Jewell Fay Holt. Brothers, Billy Moffitt and Huell Ray Moffitt, and Granddaughter Janice O’Bryant.

She is survived by a Sister, Vivian Richardson of Hugo OK, and a Brother Roy Lee Loyd and wife Miranda of Hartsville, SC., Children, Freddie Thomas and wife Lori of Borger, TX, Sharon O’Bryant and husband Dennis of Borger, TX, Larry Thomas and wife Michelle of Hershey, NE, Yvonne Keener and husband Don of Borger, TX, Donna Zink and husband Kenny of Robinson, TX and Charmaine Walters and husband Tim of Borger, TX
Grandchildren, Sandra Salim and husband Daniel, Brandi Zink, Jeremy Thomas, Justin Foster, Bo Zink, Leslie Keener, Brenda Zink Young and husband Tony, Jennifer O’Bryant, Jessica Barnett, Brigette Zink Glatter and husband Matt, Daniel Thomas and wife Tiffany and Andrew O’Bryant, Twenty six Great Grandchildren and many, many friends.

Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be Wednesday, August 10th at 11 am.

Maurine Rhoton

_AllObitsLogo300Maurine was born in Hamlin, TX to Chil Lottie (Smith) and William Edward Griffin on January 7, 1922. She married T.J. Rhoton on November 4, 1938 in Roby, TX. Maurine was a homemaker and moved to Tennessee in February of 2016. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.
Maurine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her daughter, Virginia Shull, son James Rhoton, and grandson Tommy Cook, one brother and two sisters.
She is survived by her grandsons, Terry Rhoton of Tennessee, T.J. Cook or Maryland; granddaughter, Mary Ann Stinson of Tennessee; great-grandchildren Kristin Cook, Danielle Cook, Eric Cook, Senan Rhoton, Desirae Rhoton and one great-great-grandchild Jorie Clark.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 13, at Minton Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Conny Moore of Bunavista Baptist Church officiating. . Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Howard Arthur Yeager

68943_memorialHoward was born August 12, 1928 in Stockton, CA to Delores Marie (Whaley) and Albert Phillip Yeager. He was a self-employed mechanic. Howard proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married Betty Sims on March 8, 1978 in Clayton, NM. He was a member of the Masonic Unity Lodge #1242. Howard has lived in the Borger, Fritch, and Stinnett area since 1946. He loved to read, and loved sports, especially Texas Ranger’s baseball.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Betty, sons, Mike Yeager and Mark Parker, and his sister, Opal.
He is survived by his sons, Dwayne Yeager and wife, Dianna of Stinnett, Mike Parker of New Braunfels, TX, and Miles Parker of Rockport, TX; daughter, Donna Sue Huddleston and husband, Allen of Borger, and Betty Lou Caddel and husband, Doug of Perryton; brother, Albert Francis of Dewey, AZ; sister Helen Nally of Eric, KS; seventeen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 12 at Westlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Sharalyn Larsen, of First Christian Church of Fritch officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Phyllis Key

68999_memorialPhyllis was born October 4, 1936 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mevelyn (Poston) and John Hogan. She was raised by her grandparents, John and Hattie Poston in
Phillips where she graduated from Phillips High School. Phyllis married the love of her life Charles Key in December of 1969. She owned and operated Charlies Diner in Borger and the Bowling Alley Café. Phyllis also worked at the Lake Meredith Marina. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sanford.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; sons, Charles Paul and Jerry Don Key; and son-in-law, Bob Trammell; sister, Barbara Jett; and brothers, Tommy and Johnny Adkisson.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Key of the home; daughter, Stephenie Trammell of Sanford; sons, James Key of Borger, Kurtis Kunce and wife Kathy of Borger, Randy Key of Texas City; 5 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and sister, Claudette Caldwell of Pampa.

Funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in the First Baptist Church of Sanford with Pastor Larry Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Kindred Hospice.

Fred Karl Herrick

69043_memorialFred was born March 29, 1939 in Munich, Germany to Richard Herrick and Alice Alt Herrick. He served in the US Navy. he married Karen Roth July 5, 1969 in Moline, Ill. He had worked for Pantex, Rail Road and retired as Chief Deputy of Carson County. He was a Panhandle resident for 36 years. He loved woodworking, construction and traveling in the RV.
Fred is survived by his wife Karen. Sons Michael and wife Tiana of Moline, Ill. and Kevin and wife Lisa of El Paso, TX. Four Grandchildren Zackary, Chase, Matthew and Brynn.

No services are Schueled. Arrangements are by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Janice Leann McCarty

69040_memorialJanice was born May 11, 1962 in Borger to James William McCarty and Judy Kay Harbin. She was a lifetime resident of Borger. She loved to spend time with her grandbabies, Fishing, camping and having fun.

Janice is survived by her father James and wife Shelia McCarty of Graham, TX. Daughters Jennifer Jacobs and husband Tim of Borger: Jaclin Gilliam and husband Christopher of Borger. Brothers John McCarty and wife Terry of Borger: Jackie McCarty of Wichita Falls, TX and Paul Green and wife Brandi of Amarillo. Sister Teri Green of Borger. Step father Connie Green of Borger. Five grandchildren Timothy Jacobs, Keegan Hudson, Kaylor Hudson, Kannin Huson and Christopher Gilliam Jr. Several nieces and nephews. Special friend Ricky Wilkinson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Church of Christ at Borger. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Barbara Merle Hardy

69062_memorialBarbara was born April 16, 1945 in Borger to Delbert and Lona Austin. She was one of five sisters. On June 1, 1968, she married Bill Hardy.
Barbara was a Christian woman who loved Jesus with all her heart. She always lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid golfer and also loved to shop. Barbara never met a stranger. She was always ready to help anyone, anywhere, anytime, anyplace.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Neva Burris.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Hardy; two sons, Heath Hardy and wife Kelly and Drew Hardy and wife Brittany; three sisters, Karol Sue Kinnamon, Rhonda Glover and husband Jack and Jackie Whatley and husband Joe; five grandchildren, Taylor Mackey and husband Kennen, Bailey, Ty, Raegan, and Sage Hardy; one great grandchild, Kalon Mackey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch with Pastor Justin Unwin officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to a charity of choice.

Frances May Stewart

3839668Frances May Stewart was born August 6, 1923 to Frank and Delma Watson in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She attended Borger High School and was Valedictorian of her graduating class in 1941. Frances married the love of her live, Medford Stewart in 1941. Frances worked for J. M. Huber Corporation 34 years as Personnel Assistant. She was a member of the Keeler Baptist Church. Frances served three times as Worthy Matron of Borger Chapter No. 811, Order of the Eastern Star; and was Mother Advisor of Rainbow for Girls. She was a member of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution and Hutchinson County Genealogy Society. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years. She is survived by a son, Meryle Richard Stewart and his wife, Debbie of San Antonio, Texas and a daughter, Delma Ann Andress and her husband Donald of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Michele Rabinowitz, Rebecca Allsup, Jeff Andress, Kelsey Stewart, Richard Stewart, Susan Hutcheson, David Anderson, and Lauren Polchinski and 13 great-grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Anna Ruth Garland of Sacramento, California.

Marie Louise Wilmoth

3837166_wlppMarie Louise (Ginter) Wilmoth was born December 28, 1939 to Aaron and Martha (Schneider) Ginter on the Ingle Place just south of Booker. Marie attended school and graduated in Booker.

Marie met Jimmie Don Wilmoth while attending college in Oklahoma City; they were married on September 28, 1962 in Booker at the First Baptist Church. They lived in Oklahoma City for a bit, then California; they settled in Booker 1964.

Outside of being a wife, mother, caregiver you could find Marie vegetable gardening, baking pies, reading books, or patching; but it was her children, grandchildren and the love for her family being together that brought her the most enjoyment in life.

Marie passed away on August 10 in Canadian, TX.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 13 at 11 am in the First Baptist Church Booker, TX with Pastor Stephen Ammons and Pastor Kevin Wauer officiating; interment will be immediately following in the Heart Cemetery Booker, TX under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service Booker, Texas.

Survivors include: children Rory Wilmoth and wife Denise of Perryton, TX, Jimmie Wilmoth and wife Tiffany of Darrouzett, TX, Dianne Wheeler and husband Monty of Miami, TX, Jerry Wilmoth and wife Marian of Miami, TX, and Lorita Wetherington and husband Jesse of Norman, OK; grandchildren and great grandchildren Heather Daniel and husband Damany children Ezekiel and Isaac, Whitney Kershaw and husband Jonny children Addison and Lydia, Tabbitha Burnett, Kendall Wheeler, Hayden Wheeler, Landon Wheeler, Traser Shelton, Brizan Wilmoth, Zoltan Wilmoth, April Tyler, Jeff Wilmoth, Jason Wetherington and Jake Wetherington; brother Benny Ginter of Booker, TX; sister Rosie Deeds of Booker, TX.
