Dorothy Mae Bell 96, of Amarillo died Sunday, June 23, 2013 in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger with Bob Miller, pastor of Crossroads Country Church in Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St.
Mrs. Bell was born December 21, 1916 in Lexington, KY. She moved to Borger in 1965 from Kentucky. She worked at Jim’s Grocery for several years before moving to Amarillo in 1980. She worked with her daughter at Carousel Antiques and at the T-Anchor Flea Market for many years.
She married Claude Bell in 1947 at Lexington. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was also preceded in death by a son, Arthur Lee Bell in 2002 and a brother Charles Sherrod in 1975.
She is survived by two daughters, Reva Venable and her husband Jack of Amarillo and Joan Bindseil and her husband Frank of Blanco; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.
