On April 1, 1968, his parents, Tony and Lydia (Vitela) Castillo welcomed him into the world. He graduated Amarillo High School in 1986 and attended Amarillo College.
He worked as a boiler technician for over 15 years.
He loved sports, especially football and NASCAR racing. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He especially enjoyed taking a ride on his beloved Indian motorcycle.
He was a man who truly lived and breathed for his family and he never let his illness prevent him from living his life to the fullest.
He will be remembered fondly by those whose lives he touched as someone who was sure to bring a smile to your face, inspiring, uplifting and kind.
He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Nina and Anita; four children, Chelci, Ariel, Zachary and Paul; two grandkids, Averie and Jezilynn; and five nieces and nephews, Tasha, Cory, Caleb, Amber and Ashton.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Scott Raef as celebrant. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
