Shirley Tuttle, 94, of Amarillo, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, in First Baptist Church in Adrian with her son-in-law, Dee Slocum, officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m., in Highland Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Tuttle was born March 4, 1919, in Post Oak, Texas. She was one of ten kids born to W.A. and Edna Riggs. Mrs. Tuttle was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksboro. She loved to play cards, Oklahoma Sooners, Cubs baseball, and loved her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Holt Tuttle in 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Slocum and husband Dee of Amarillo; two sisters, Vivian Ruth Jackson of Wichita Falls and Aubrey Myrtle King of Jacksboro; two grandchildren, Jada Holland and Terrell Slocum, both of Amarillo; and a great-grandchild, Addison.
